About Canoe and Trail Outpost
Canoe and Trail Outpost is located on the scenic Bogue Chitto River in Tylertown, Mississippi. Canoe and Trail is family owned and has been in operation since 1976. Covering 27 acres, Canoe and Trail offers its customers a large area for entertaining small as well as large groups and is perfect for retreats, family gatherings and company outings.

Canoe and Trail Outpost has been of service to the Boy Scouts of America for the past twenty five years and we are looking forward to their return visits. If you are looking to get away and experience nature, Canoe and Trail Outpost is the place for you.

Our operation is in service seven days a week twelve months a year. We provide rentals that include canoeing, kayaking, tubing, complete recreational vehicle hookups, cabin rental and primitive camping. All rentals include tax, paddles, shuttle and life vests. If you choose to bring your own boat, shuttle service is available at cost. Campground facilities include restrooms, hot showers, ice, vending machines, river supplies, fishing, swimming and free firewood! Our campground offers shaded primitive camping overlooking the white sand beaches of the Bogue Chitto River.

In the summer, the cool waters provide a relaxing experience. While in the winter months you can enjoy the warmth of a cozy fire and anticipate the chance to see a deer or possibly wild turkey!
